How many times have you decided the time had come to loose a few pounds but everything you tried left you frustrated and feeling deprived. Have you ever considered a healthy eating diet plan?
If you aren’t familiar with a health eating diet plan you might be surprised at just how simple the concept is and you’ll be wondering why more aren’t using it to lose those extra pounds.
The healthy eating diet plan starts by recognizing that weight will only be lost when the number of calories burned exceeds the number of calories eaten. It also recognizes that if you drop your calorie intake too quickly your body will go into what’s called starvation mode storing fat for that rainy day.
The healthy eating diet plan goes one further stating that you can eat anything you want as long as you don’t exceed your calorie count for the day and in fact you need to reduce your calorie intake by 500 calories but no more. While at the same time increasing your calorie burn by 500 calories. That means you are going to have a 1000 calorie difference which is going to be noticeable on the diet scale.
The healthy eating diet plan also looks at the type of foods you are eating. Of course although it says you can eat anything you want it expect that you will not fill your diet with foods high in saturated fats but rather will mix your meals up with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables but it gives you the flexibility to mix it up how you like it without being restricted to certain foods.
So what would a healthy eating diet plan look like? Well it might look something like this:
Breakfast
1 cup Cheerios
1/2 cup fresh or frozen berries
1 cup fat-free or low-fat milk
1/2 whole-grain English muffin, toasted, topped with 1 teaspoon light margarine
Coffee if desired
Mid-morning snack
4 pieces dried apricot
1 cup tea with lemon
Lunch
Sandwich: one 6-inch whole-wheat pita, spread with 1 tablespoon light mayonnaise and stuffed with 2 ounces deli-style roast beef, 1-ounce slice of reduced-fat Cheddar cheese, 3 tomato slices and lettuce
4 baby carrots
1 banana,
Afternoon snack
5 ounces fat-free yogurt
3 vanilla wafers
Dinner
3 ounces grilled or broiled salmon brushed with 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed before cooking
2/3 cup brown rice
3/4 cup sliced asparagus spears steamed
Salad: 1 1/2 cups baby spinach leaves topped with 1 tangerine, peeled and sectioned; 1 tablespoon chopped almonds; drizzled with 1 tablespoon sesame seed vinaigrette salad dressing
Water or other no-cal beverage
Of course this is just an example of a healthy eating diet plan for a day. There are so many options that you will never be bored and remember you can eat which ever foods you want as long as you don’t exceed your daily calorie intake. So if you love fish eat as much as you want or perhaps you hate asparagus but love baby carrots then don’t eat asparagus but do eat all the baby carrots you want.
So what will your healthy eating diet plan look like?

Help answer the question about healthy eating diet
If I run everyday, along with eating a healthy well-rounded diet, will I be able to slim down?I like to run in the mornings before breakfast, of course I eat a banana right when I wake up. Now, If I continue to do this, along with eating a healthy diet, will I be able to get rid of my tummy? I heard that running helps burn lots of calories and if you continue to burn calories, the body will find spots to target itself (eventually being your stomach). Will I be able to lose my tummy if I continue to do this?

Congratulations on deciding to improve your health! A healthy diet does wonders for not only your body shape but your energy level, your skin, your ability to sleep well, and your resistance to illness and serious diseases such as heart disease and cancer.
Exercise is relatively simple: although I'm sure people will disagree with me, I am a strong believer that it doesn't really matter what time of the day you exercise, so long as you do it and you enjoy it. You don't need special equipment or clothes or even a lot of time to get into a solid exercise regime that produces results. Some of the best exercises can be done in your bedroom. I suggest doing 15-20 minutes in the morning and 15-20 minutes in the evening before you go to bed. I personally like to exercise my upper body with a resistance band I bought for $4, but you don't need that. Deep stretches, leg lifts, crunches, Pilates, push ups, and lunges are great, easy, fast exercises you can do that feel good and produce fast results. You can go online and Google whatever kind of exercise you want for your particular taste. If you want to shape up your legs and butt, for example, there's a great website that has some good simple exercises. (I don't agree with a lot of their diet tips, but the exercises are good: http://www.bestdietfinder.com/HowToExercises.html) Pilates is a great all-over workout that can really change the shape of your body quickly. You can either go to a class to learn some techniques or just rent a DVD through Netflix or any other rental place. Also, a great way to get in some cardio and improve your health is to get into the habit of making body movement an all-day activity. Don't look for the nearest parking space – park far away and walk quickly to the store. Don't take elevators – find the stairwell and hurry up the stairs two at a time. If you get on an escalator, make it a habit to walk up the escalator instead of just standing. Fire the gardener and mow the lawn and weed. There are many activities you can do that do not require a gym membership, but will also take off pounds quickly.
As far as diet is concerned, there are a million different opinions out there, but hopefully most of them follow one important theme: refined sugars and hydrogenated oils are bad, complex carbohydrates such as fiber, and lean protein, are great. Try to have fun with it and find good foods that you enjoy, so you fill up on those and then you won't crave the unhealthy foods. Good foods include nuts, fish, brightly-colored vegetables and fruits, beans, anything high in fiber, and lots of lots of hydration. If you can stand salmon, Dr. Perricone's 5-day salmon diet gave me surprising results – the high content of Omega-3 fatty acids gave me a ton of energy and I felt amazing! Another thing that nutritionists are focusing on are the multitude of health benefits from Omega-3 fatty acids, and the oils from walnuts, almonds, onions, and garlic. I have even heard to have a handful of raw almonds an hour before a meal, to partially fill up on fiber and also to release some hormone that helps you to lose weight. You will find that when you start to eat a diet rich in protein (lentil soup, beans, fish, chicken, almonds, walnuts) and fiber (All-Bran cereal, celery, nuts, broccoli, other fruits/vegetables), you'll lose your appetite for unhealthy foods. Fill up on the healthy foods with lots of water and your body's digestive system will need to work harder to process the fiber, which will boost your metabolism!
There are more studies coming out that show that certain foods (citrus, berries) can actually break down precancerous cells, and other foods (fiber, olive/walnut/almond oils) can lower your cholesterol. I'm sure that in the next few years, more and more studies will emphasize the wonders of these foods. Popular wonder foods include spinach, blueberries, raw almonds, and wild (not farm-raised) salmon.
Bad stuff to avoid: foods with high glycemic indexes (you can find lists of these online) are usually rich in refined sugar. They will break down collagen and harden your arteries, so in turn contribute to aging skin and heart disease. They will also encourage your body to store fat, which is why a lot of people are linking the high consumption of soda to obesity. When you read the label on foods you buy, look at the amounts of sugars, proteins, and fibers. This can help you gauge the value of the food – the more protein and/or fiber, the more bang for your buck. Another VERY bad thing to avoid at all costs: margarine, ranch dressing, French fries. Any hydrogenated oil is like bacon, it will literally clog your arteries. The only oil you should have in your kitchen is olive oil. Real butter can be used, but only sparingly.
I am a strong believer that moderate exercise and a radical change in the American diet (NO more sodas and French fries!) would dramatically lower the incidences of obesity, cancer, diabetes, and heart disease, far more than any medical intervention available. That said, it's important to look around for foods you like and enjoy preparing and eating, or it won't work. I got lucky and found that I love salmon, eggplant, zuccini, tomatoes, and salads, and I even got used to All-Bran cereal. After a few weeks of this, I lost my taste for sugars and oily foods. Humans were designed to walk and run, and to eat lots of fruits and vegetables. The body works better this way. Refined sugars and French fry-fats are new inventions and they serve as very poor fuel for the body – avoid them and you'll feel better.
I wish you the best of luck on your new adventure! Remember, focus on the food you find delicious, drink lots of liquids, and exercise twice a day, even if it's just 5 push-ups, touching your toes, and 5 sit-ups – if you don't feel like exercising, just do a little bit – often it will feel good and you will get encouraged that way. Every little counts!
well if you want to lose wieght drink lots of water and eat about 1000 calories a day plus do atleast 30 mins of cardio a day, or to maintain a healthy wieght eat between 2000, 2500 calories a day and drink lots of water and do cardio at least thirty mins good luck : )
I think you should cut back the coffee with cream because the cream can build up on fat. not saying you should never have it again, but just have it every once in a couple of days if you really want to start eating healthy. the smoothie is really good for breakfast. maybe some healthy cereal with milk would help instead of the coffee.
depends how much cottage cheese you're eating, if its not a lot, (less then a cup) then its all good!
the lunch is very healthy!
snack is awesome for a healthy diet
dinner is awesome because chicken increases your protein and veggies are always good in a diet.
you should increase your exercises a little bit more, maybe go take a power walk or a jog outside for 30 minutes everyday? or just increase your walking up the stairs to about 25 times instead of 15.
best answer would be greatly appreciated!!
i really hope i helped, and good luck
lol.. what about if your at skl
how are yu saposed to take such a massive bottle of water

maybe if i was sitting home all day i could do it exactly like that
but thanks anyways ;D
Thank you!
For exercise: I recommend Pilates. You can buy a dvd and do it at home. It uses stretch & strength and improves your balance. At first it was hard for me but after a week of doing it, it became much easier. I now do it every morning and I can feel my stomach is hard, my legs are stronger & arms are in better shape. I bought Pilates for beginners dvd at Walmart. Made by Element.
For diet: the best thing is to cut out white sugar, white flour & white rice. That's the easiest thing to remember to do. Also try to balance your protein & veggies out and it should make you feel full longer. If you get hungry, have a piece of fruit rather than binging on any sugary products. Nuts are a good snack too.
Try to eat whole foods rather than overly-processed foods as they often contain bad ingredients like high fructose corn syrup & transfat.
When I was a vegetarian and needed something quick on the go, I would eat a soy hotdog or veggie burger (no bun). For breakfast you could have plain yogurt – or yogurt with fruit in it and whole grain granola. I also have a yummy smoothie I like to make, here's the recipe:
Handful of frozen strawberries
one scoop of raspberry sorbet
Enough orange juice to make it liquidy like a smoothie
some silken tofu or 1 scoop soy protein powder
Blend in a blender until smooth. I'm guessing on the quantities, I just kind of wing it.
Just remember that if you eat a lot of sugar & carbs, you will crave more of it so try to cut back on those. Hope this info helps.
Eat cucumbers with Veganaise which is an organic dressing that is a better alternative to mayonaisse. I used to eat cucumbers a lot in high school and I went from a size 11 to size 3 within a year and it also helped that I did a 100 jumping jacks almost every day along with eating cucumbers as a snack.
i like girls yes i do how bout u
A lot of what you can or cannot do for exercise depends on how your delivery was and how you've recovered from it, but the link from stumptuous should give you some ideas on what you can and perhaps cannot do. The site also has some good nutrition information.
All the information is free and scientifically-based (i.e. no commercial/advertisement bs crap).
That is awesome you want to be healthy and lose the weight. People don't realize how weight affects the rest of your body and your vital organs.
First thing is to get rid of all the junk food and crap in the house. Just simply don't have it around. Go shopping and replace it with lower calorie foods, fresh fruits, fresh ans frozen veggies, leaner cuts of meats, etc.
Cut out all sodas, but do allow yourself a diet soda for a treat now and then. Do allow yourself a treat now and then because it will keep you from binging.
Get out and do some walking if you can. Slowly build yourself up to it. They even open the malls for early morning walkers. I suggest going to the end of the street and back and then slowly add some mileage on it. Dance around the house. Getting your heart rate up is great for burning off the calories.
Get a good multivitamin that absorbs and take that. You don't need a handfull of pills and don't let them talk you into it. we get most of our needed vitamins and minerals from our fresh foods. Instead of making one large trip to the store plan out your meals for 3-5 days and then buy fresh. This way nothing goes bad and you have time to really plan and stick to what you need to eat.
Change your attitude about life in general. Try to destress your life. Figure out what got you in this position in the first place- like why you eat.
You may want to make sure you are healthy and get a complete workup at the doctors before starting any diet or exercise regiman. It is just a great starting point. Check for Diabetes. Diabetics diets are different from regular ones.
Cut down the portions sizes. Do not skip breakfast. People that skip[ breakfast tend to make up for it later in the day.
Try not to eat dinner after 5 pm. Your body has to work harder at night to burn the calories unlike during the day.
No you don't have to eat salads all the time. Actually salads are higher in calories than you think.
Example-
Breakfast
1 plain yogurt
1 cup of fresh fruit
Water
Lunch
Sandwich on half of piece of whole grain bread- no mayo, but can have mustard
Turkey or chicken
low calorie cheese
as many veggies as you can pack on
A piece of fruit
Water
Snack
A handfull of nuts of dried fruits
Dinner
Lean meat
Veggies as many as you want
Potato with skin on very little spritz of low cal butter
lowfat sourcream
Water
Bedtime
It sounds like you need to find things to make you feel good about yourself and enjoyable ways to improve your health. You are obviously able to improve your diet so you need to work out how to avoid the 'loosing heart' bit. A few ideas…
Find a physical activity that you enjoy – there are hundreds of sports and other activities even gardening that could help you and if you enjoy them you'll keep it up.
Find a friend who also wants to loose weight or get fit and help each other so when one doesn't feel like keeping it up then the other can give them a reason to carry on. (This worked for me and my mum)
Find more interesting ways of eating healthy foods. If you can enjoy preparing and eating healthy food you might not be so interested in the unhealthy stuff.
You can do it – you've already shown that – so seek out all the enjoyable things you can gain from being fitter and eating better and even if you have blips, don't give up.
The best way to lose weight is to exercise daily if possible and eat a healthy low cal. diet. Excercise will tone as well.
