I am highly opposed to buying a CD for one or two DECENT songs – the rest being unusable garbage.
Um…well when you do it, do you get the error, it can't be done, no extension was spesified? That's so annoying! I think if you download firefox and then install download helper as an addon, it should work better for you. If you are only getting your music via youtube, than http://www.yuconvertit.com is what you want. Anyways, I think zamzar is only for what is on your computer, even though it gives you the option for a URL. Now, if you want to give up on zamzar completely, I have a few more suggestions.
For desktops, which is easier, go into your volume settings, go to properties, and recording I believe, and than somehow find stereo mix. Then, go to start menu, programs, accessories, and there will be some sort of recording software on your computer. If you have configured stereo mix correctly, it should record any music or sound that plays through your computer speakers. Lol, make sure it doesn't rebuffer, or you don't click on any links that'll make any sounds, it'll be in the song if you do!
For laptops:
Now this is a challenge. Laptops don't have any soundcards, so stereo mix is out of the equation. I recommend buying a soundblaster external soundcard 2.0 USB connection. There's no static, no nothing! Install the software, insert the USB, and hit record on whatever program you have, and that's it! Note with these external soundcards, you will not here what your playing at the moment, you'll have to take the soundcard out before you can here the end result. I hope this helps.
