CLA helps reduce body FAT, not weight. If you want to keep losing fat, take them. But if you are only concerned with weight, then you don't need it. Keep taking the multi, and make sure you get extra vitamin c since you smoke.
This is simple. The quickest way to lose wieght is to drink a ton of water. Take your body wieght and divide it by two and that is the amount of ounces of water you should drink a day. Say you wieght 100 lbs you would need to drink 50 ounces of water a day. And remember that 16 ounces are in a bottle or a tall glass of water. So basically if you keep doing what you are doing now and drink around 4 or 5 tall glasses of water every day you should have no problem. But if you are working out too then I might suggest more water than that…
hey what is your diet if you dont mind sharing!! thank you

heey ,

Just make sure you are getting plenty of protein also…your body needs that for muscle building (which increases your metabolism).
Nothing wrong with good (complex) carbs..your body uses them for quick energy. The protein is needed also, as well as a little healthy fat, fiber, and all that other healthy stuff. Plus, plenty of water!
Thank you so much for the encouragement I am going to continue my diet
Make sure you are getting enough grains too, but other than that, it sounds healthy! Good job!
Climbing is a whole body exercise (you know that already) and you will be required to be lean, strong and able to endure strenuous activity. I would suggest the following:
Eat breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack, snack
Focus on lean protein sources like chicken & turkey (no skin), lean beef, lean pork, fish, egg whites and a good meal replacement and protein powder.
Endurance is built over time, a marathon runner does not start running a 6 hour marathon, they work up to it. Find a club in your area that has climbing walls and get climbing. I would start with 30 minutes of up and down climbing, take a class first if you need to and work up to 60 minutes 3-5 times a week.
When you are working out, I would use functional exercises that relate to climbing, squats, pull downs, dips and barbell curls, calf raises. Three times a week for no more than 45 minutes.
Because climbing and trekking up a mountain is all about bodyweight and carrying the pack you will have with you, you should find out the average weight of the pack other adventurers have used, strap it on and start walking with it. Start with 30 minutes 5 days a week for a month, then increase to 45 minutes, then increase to 60 minutes and increase slowly until you get to a point where you can literally walk with that pack around your hilly terrain for a couple hours (taking breaks when you need it).
For example, start off easy and get used to the volume of exercise and work up to increasing your session time:
Monday – Climbing, Weights
Tuesday – Pack Walk
Wednesday – Pack Walk
Thursday – Climbing, Weights
Friday – Pack Walk
Saturday – Pack Walk in morning, Climbing in afternoon
Sunday – Rest
Now, you should focus on complex carbohydrates like oats, whole grain pastas and breads. I would gather you should be eating about 3000 calories a day anyway. Good luck!
Focus on exercises that complement climbing, but I think the pack walks in your hilly terrain will lean you out. I would not worry about gaining too much weight as your strength will go through the roof with this program.

No, I m afraid no. For men it should be minimum 1400 cals and for women it should be 1200 cals and that is the healthy way to do any diet…..the problem is people don’t realize that no diet is unhealthy itself it’s the way u do it……..all diets who work fast can be healthy at the same time ……….There is a right way of doing things and there is a wrong way so right information is crucial……Moderation is the best policy for anything in life!! Good luck!!
Well, first of all as a fellow vegan you want to make sure you're not just carb loading. Eat raw nuts, beans, veggies like spinach, mushrooms, onions, carrots, root vegetables. Eat brown rice rather then white rich, whole wheat grains, etc.
However, I want to make sure to point out, weight fluctuation is normal. Humans simply fluctuate naturally within their weight from three to five pounds to as much as ten pounds sometimes.
Also, you might be constantly shifting to a certain weight because that is your natural healthy body weight. You shouldn't focus so much on "keeping weight down" unless you are in an unhealthy weight category.
All that aside, the key here is going to be consistent exercise. I will give you one tip, and refer you to a really great website http://zenhabits.net/tags/health-tip-day/
My tip is, to get a big year on a page calender and a red magic marker. As big as possible. Now, set your two rest days for the week. Put big red X's in those days for the whole calender. Now, whenever you exercise for the day, give yourself a big red X. Humans are funny creatures, and simple little motivation tricks can sometimes really help us. Once you start building up a chain of those red X's, you won't want to stop. You won't want to not exercise because you'll want to give yourself a red X. Try it. it works out real well.
good luck,
Ben
