Many of you remember the old game “animal, vegetable or mineral”. When it comes to cosmetics the answer is yes, yes and yes. One would be surprised at the range of things which can make their way into your makeup. In terms of makeup the correct answer for you is mineral cosmetics. Transitioning to a mineral makeup kit provides multiple benefits.
Mineral cosmetics serve to both protect and beautify your skin. These salicylate free cosmetics also exclude other commonly found irritants and allergens like bismuth oxychloride, carmines, and superfluous dyes. Powder mineral make up also does not contain talc. Your mineral makeup kit will transition you to a wholesome, naturally beautiful face.
The powder mineral makeup in your mineral makeup kit employs loose minerals which extend the amount of time your face looks freshly done. Mineral cosmetics last longer than comparable chemically composed competitors. From mineral makeup eyeshadow to lip gloss there is no sacrifice of health to achieve beauty.
Mineral cosmetics often contain zinc oxide which provides sun protection factor (SPF) of over 25. Harsh effects from overexposure to ultraviolet rays cannot be overcome by even the best cover ups. Most important to verify is that your mineral cosmetics contain zinc oxide only in its standard form. Many products contain micronized zinc oxide which may entail adverse health effects.
There is both good wet and powder mineral makeup. The same level of variety and depth of selection are available while making safe, healthy choices. Many times, what goes on your face ends up on the skin of the loved ones around you. Transitioning to organic cosmetics could prove to be an important step in identifying elusive triggers for your child’s allergies.
In terms of convenience, natural cosmetics are no longer hard to find. It used to be many would have to drive miles to a small specialty store to secure the organic brand of their preference. The wonders of technology have no solved that problem. A diverse array of safe products are now available with only a few clicks of the mouse.
Having a mineral make up kit also has larger implications and makes a greater general statement. Many women sacrifice environmental concerns while in pursuit of beauty. Others realize the two concerns are not mutually exclusive. Organically based cosmetics do not add to the steady stream of chemicals making their way into our wilderness and water supply. The reasons are evident why mineral cosmetics are the clear choice. Safe for both you and your family, they allow for both a brilliant look as well as a small contribution to cleaning up the planet.

Physician’s Formula
http://www.physiciansformula.com/en-us/default.html
Physician’s Formula Recommendations:
Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Face Powder: ~$13.00 individual, ~$20 in the 3 pack
(Voted “Best Face Powder” in Star Magazine)
Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Blush: ~$12.00 individual, ~$20 in the 3 pack
(Won "Testers’ Favorite Product Award" in Fitness Magazine and Awarded “Natural Beauty Award” in Natural Health Magazine)
Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Matte Finishing Veil: ~$13.00 individual, ~$20 in 3 the pack
The 3 pack is not on the website, but I know for a fact it is sold at Target. It's probably sold at Walmart, and wherever they carry physician's formula products. The colors I saw that it came in were fair, light, and medium.
I have oily skin, so here’s a tip if you do, too. Just carry around the Talc-Free Matte Finishing Veil in a purse or backpack (for school or work or shopping or whatever) and apply it when you feel oily. It's 100% translucent, so it just eats the oil without looking chalky or heavy.
To me, the mineral powder and blush looked hard, like I'd have to scrape it with my powder brush, but really it comes of quite easily. Take the brush it comes with and just dab it on, it'll come off without any rubbing at all.
I would call the main h.q. or something like that to be on the safe side
CVS (Sav-Ons) carries it there!
Hope it helps!
my best friends mother used and i asked she said it was great it just depends on your skin type

i love their mineral foundation!
If you're allerging to Mica, yes. Mica is a kind of chemical that makes stuff shine, same with Bismuth Oxide. So if you're allergic to any of those things or you have sensitive skin, both of those will break you out. Try to avoid Bare Minerals if you're allergic to Bismuth because their products have Bismuth in it. Everyday Minerals is an alternative that doesn't use Bismuth at all. Good luck!
OMG! I would soo love doing this for a living!
Hello!
You would need to create a balance of iron oxides and ultramarine blue to create a skin-tone color. There are some kits at Monave that could help you get started, or you could just try your hand at it. The pigments need to be blended to create the color before you add it to the sunscreen….hope that helps!
Thanks, D
I never heard of Purely Cosmetics but I know that Bare Minerals has color for African Women. The colors seems
to blend good and does not look ashy.
