Not sure what’s happening with me on this one, but it seems like the more I listen to it, the better Embrya gets. Embrya simply stated is one of Maxwell’s best CDs to date.
This one literally grabs your attention right out of the gate with Everwanting: To Want You To Want and doesn’t let go until the very last note of the very last song Embrya, which by the way is another great track.
These days it’s a very rare CD on which every single song is good or better than the one before it. This CD is certainly one of those rare CDs.
Overall Embrya is a solid release. Quite possibly Maxwell’s best to date. Really sensational from beginning to end. If you’re even mildly into Pop music you’ll enjoy this CD.
While this entire CD is outstanding some of my favorites are track 2 – I’m You: You Are Me And We Are You, track 8 – Submerge: Til We Become The Sun, and track 11 – Embrya
My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 – Everwanting: To Want You To Want. It’s a great track!

Sure, there's one like that… in FANTASYLAND!
OK, let's remember where we are going… L A.
You want the BEST gay night club. But basically on the cheap, and no lines.
DUH!
If it's any good, people are going to hear about it. If you've found out about it, that means it's going to be popular. SO… based upon the unbreakable laws of supply and demand, when the demand exceeds the supply, there will be… LINES, er, queues.
And if it's ANY good, you will have to dress to impress! I don't know of any "no dress code" clubs, gay or otherwise, where you can show up in jeans and a tee and expect to get in.
DOUBLE DUH!
Come on, now, think about it. If it's any sort of good club, there's going to be a queue, a cover, and people dressed to impress. This is LA, baby!
The clubs you already mentioned are very good, as long as you understand the caveats above. Have fun!

If you're staying on the Strip, Krave is the only gay club that's easy to get to. It's located in the Miracle Mile Shopping Mall (Planet Hollywood). It's the most expensive of the alternative venues, though still cheap compared to straight clubs like Jet and Rain, where the cover can sometimes go all the way up to an outrageous $75.00. Cover at Krave never exceeds $20.00.

All the other gay clubs are located in areas that are off the beaten path. Of these, Gipsy is the oldest and the best. The cover varies, but again, won't exceed $20.00. The drinks are usually pretty cheap.

Flex is really cheap. No cover on most days, and a maximum of $5.00 on Saturdays. However, the place is not as popular as the ones I've already mentioned. So, it's hit and miss. Weekends are usually fine, though weekdays can be dead.

For pop music I would go with Los Angeles or New York. Go to any casting calls for extras in shows & movies. Then start applying for musician parts or just get a good agency to represent you. Just don't give up, it won't be easy. Good luck!!!
