Set against the backdrop of the Andes Mountains, the coastal region of Chili is a great place to start any journey through the wine making country of Chili and Argentina. The Casablanca Valley receives cool coastal breezes that make this area ideal for white wine production. Many start their trip in Santiago, one of the most bustling and modern cities in erica.htm”>South America. From there it is not far to some of the best local wineries. Heading west towards the ocean and into the Valley, many choose to stop at Viñedos Organicos. This winery is dedicated to organic and biodynamic winemaking. It offers some of the most interesting flavors in the region, using all natural production methods. Another popular winery in the area is the Morandé winery, famous for using ‘smell boxes’ in their tours, with the goal of helping visitors to recognize the importance of aromas when it comes to high quality winemaking. Also situated along the coast, and a popular destination for tourists, is the city of Valparaiso. Although it is not famous for its wine, it is one of the first established cities in South America, and rich in culture and history.
Central Chile has much to offer in the way of fantastic wine. Maipo Valley, located southwest of Santiago, is recognized as producing the traditional flavors of Chilean wine. In addition to some of the oldest wineries in the country, this region also boasts a decent number of new boutique wineries that are bringing new flavors to the mix. South of Maipo Valley is Cachapoal Valley, which boasts a number of great wineries and some of the most fantastic views of the central valley region. Perhaps the most famous wine making region in Chili is the Colchagua Valley. It is in this area that the majority of the country’s red wines are produced. Here we find Vina Bisquertt, not only one of the oldest wineries in the country, but also one of the first in the way of boutique wine making. These are only a few of the hundreds of amazing wineries in the region.
Heading over the Andes Mountains it is only little over an hour by plane to Mendoza, Argentina. In the closest region to Mendoza city, Lujan de Cuyo, visitors can find the best wineries of Argentina in one of its most traditional and developed wine making regions. An hour south of the city brings you to Valle de Uco. Because of its higher altitude and greater variance in temperature, this region offers adds a more complex flavor to its wine. In the Maipu region visitors are invited to tour wineries on bicycle; a fun alternative to the standard tour and tasting. Deep in the heart of South America, these two countries have much to offer in the way of culture, fine wine and dining, and an enjoyable vacation.

In Central America, Mexico's Yucatan has many fascinating archaeological zones — especially Chichen Itza and Uxmal. Likewise Guatemala. While there, don't miss the open market at Chichicastenago! The scenery is wondrous in Costa Rica.
South America — Machu Picchu, Peru, and Iguassu Falls on the Brazil-Argentina Border. Angel Falls (over 3,000 feet high) in Venezuela. Buenos Aires is nice, and Rio de Janiero is spectacular… especially at Carnival time.
If you go to Eurasia, you'll find Russia to be phenomenally diverse and interesting, and filled with wonderful and friendly people. I've been there eleven times… more than any single nation other than the USA (home), Canada, and Mexico (where I went to college).
Try Asia like the Philippine beaches!

Honduras is a little different than "non-resort mexico"…..our bus got stopped and turned around on our way down to belize city…..we were trying to see some mayan archeological sites on our way and werent allowed in….i dont know if it had anything to do with one of our groups cuban passport or another's american passport but when an army dude points an automatic weapon at the bus driver and pulls him out of the vehicle and strip searches him…..it gets a little sketchy for most people…..i on the other hand loved the 20 minutes i spent in honduras.
Busiek State Forest and Sac River trail, Springfield, MO.
Camping available in Springfield, Branson and Busiek State Forest. Vacation properties in Branson.
I believe there are trails around Eureka Springs, AR which is about 2 hrs SW of Springfield via US 65, MO 86 and AR 23. Kettle campground is a nice place to stay.
Trinidad and Tobago – It is very cheap when the money is transfered and the landscape is a mixture of South America and the Caribbean.
Well if you decide to come to Peru:
Cuzco is a city in the southern part of the country with an active night live. Machu Picchu are spectacular ruins near Cuzco and the Inca trail is a way to go there. In Cuzo, you wont have any problemas with the language beacuse that city is alwas plenty of foreign tourist and it's easy to find someone who speaks English.
I would also suggest the beaches in the north. Mancora and Punta Sal are the best. Punta Sal is more beautiful and a little more expensive. Usually, young people prefer Mancora because is way more fun and there are many parties.
The rainforest is algo a beautiful place. There are many cities there. I think the best is Tarapoto.
Lima, the capital city has also some excellent palces to have fun. Aura, Saquara and Gotica are some of the most exclusives night club there (please avoid the ones in northern Lima!). If you come in summer you should also visit the beaches in southern Lima (Asia).
I hope you find useful this info. Feel free to ask me anything
Peru has excellent places for hiking and camping…the Andes highland provides a lot of sites for that…As Peru it`s located on the coast of the Pacific ocean, there are so many wonderful beaches, some of them are calm water just for swimming…others are specifically for surfers because they have great waves!
About food…Peru has one of the most delicious food in the world…all the ingredients are fresh and most of them organics…CEVICHE is the most famous (prepared with fish, Lemon, onion, chili, salt) and the PISCO SOUR is the favorite drink.
Lima is a cosmopolitan city, so there are a lot of entertainment places and people are very friendly.
Of course you can`t forget to visit ancient churches and houses built during the colony or the awesome MACHU PICCHU.
Discover the magic Peru!
