Majorca is located in the Mediterranean Sea and is the largest of the Spanish Balearic archipelago Islands. It has been very popular as a European beach vacation locale, especially by the English, German, and French. Majorca has steadily grown in population since the 1950′.
Many Spanish from mainland Spain move to Majorca to work in the tourist industry. This coupled with the huge tourist population that seems to grow annually, makes Majorca a real tourist hotspot.
The following are 10 of the best beaches in Majorca.
Playa de Palma
Palma is the capital of Majorca and also the Balearic Islands. Playa De Palma while small is ripe with opportunities for a good time. There are a host of restaurants, hotels and discos to serve you once you come in from the beach and sun. Try Tito’s for dancing and fun in general, it has the best Disco in Playa de Palma
Sa Calobra
This beautiful little beach was formed by water traveling through the Torrent de Pareis canyon gorge. This makes a wonderful foot tour that goes through the gorge and ends at the beach. The Torrent de Pareis and Sa Calobra are the most popular of the natural wonders in Majorca.
Alcudia Beach
This is a serene beach located in the northern region of the island and it has beautiful fine white sand. This beach is wonderful for young children that do not swim, as it is peaceful and calm. A popular beach for everybody on a Majorca holiday.
Palma Nova
Palma Nova is located just west of he capital Palma. Coupled with the bustling resort of Magalluf, Palma Nova is one of the busiest of the Majorcan beaches and offers a promenade along the beach that is traveled only by foot or by bicycle. While there are many popular fast-food chains, there are also many different restaurants that serve a variety of food such as Italian, Mexican, French, Italian, Chinese and British. There are quite a few British Pubs here as well.
Calla D’or
This is a beautiful beach resort that is comprised of 8 small coves that provide beautiful beaches to enjoy. The centre of the beach area is ruled by pedestrians and void of auto transport. This makes it a very safe place for families with small children to frequent. There are a variety of accommodations that appeal to a variety of vacation budgets.
Es Trenc
Once you park the car and get to the beach it will look fairly crowded, but if you bear to the right for about a 20 minute walk, you will come to magnificent unspoiled beaches. It is important to note here that there are a few nudist beach areas, so just be aware that you might come upon folks enjoying their vacation in their birthday suits.
Calla Millor
Located on the north east coast of Majorca this beach area offers British Pubs that have bingo, karaoke, race nights and live entertainment. There is a golf course here and a variety of water-sports offered. There is also an open-air disco that is fun.
Camp De Mer
This is the place to go if you really want to leave the hustle and bustle behind. You will be treated to a long drive lined by beautiful pine forests.
Puerto Pollensa
This beach is located in the Bay of Pollensa and it is protected from bad weather by rocky formations to the north. A beautiful sandy beach and scenery, with great tourist accommodations makes this a perfect holiday getaway. British vacationers frequent this beach.
Santa Ponsa
The full name of this beach is Platja de Santa Ponsa and it is located on the southwest coast. British Pubs are plentiful here and trees located at the back of the beach are a welcome source of shade.

Is there any way to travel from Dewey Beach DE to Ocean City MD via public transportation? My friends and I are staying in Dewey Beach for our vacation but want to get to OC for a night to see some other friends. Any way to do this through public transportation? So we don't have to worry about parking and avoid drinking and driving?
Thanks!

Yes, she is. South Beach Miami, the section of Miami Beach from about 17th Street down to 1st Street/Government Cut, is the only public beach in the U.S. (i.e. NOT a designated nude beach) where women are permitted to sunbathe topless. You’ll see topless women sunning/walking/swimming all along this stretch of beach. Most women go topless either near the Delano & South Seas Hotels (17th Street) or near the gay section (5th-10th Streets).

Try any of the beaches between LA and San Diego in California. There are a lot of them and you can just pick a beach and see if you like it. The weather in southern California at this time of year is almost always great! No worry about major hurricanes etc. It is where I would pick if I had to go. You can also find a larger hotel that is located on the beach where they will serve drinks poolside or for you to carry down to the ocean's beach!
crazy…i go to south beach every year, and that resembles nothing from my excursions
I’m a Florida native and have never been down to Miami.. This video makes me want to go!
The Dabolim Airport in Goa is within 5 to 10 miles (3 to 6 kilometers) of the coastline. Information about public beaches is difficult to locate, but the National Highway 17 runs along the west coast from Goa to Mumbai (Bombay). General transportation information to and from the Dabolim Airport is provided at the link below.
I avoid beaches with my kids but I can help with the flights. I'm an ex-F/A and I fly with my three between Europe and California about every six months, plus shorter trips in between.
For such short flights, it wont be a problem with the ears. Just visit the ped before leaving to be sure he doesn't have an ear infection and otherwise, hís ears should be fine. It's a myth that they have to drink or suck on take-off and landing. Ear problems are highly overrated.
He'll be safer and everyone will be more comfortable if you can bring your carseat and see if you can use it on board in an empty seat. Wont you need it at your destination anyway? (Never risk car company seats, they can be expired, nasty, the wrong size, etc.). Double check that your carseat is FAA certified. Most are in the U.S.
On check in, ask how full the flight is and ask if you can be seated with an empty place besides you.
I go into way more detail in an article I wrote and placed on a blog for all parents to see. It's totally non-commercial and written to help out other parents (and my ex-coworkers, if parents have fewer concerns!)

If it is 1200 mile and your jeep gets 20 mile to the gallon you will need 60 gallon to get you there, and at 3.00 a gallon it will cost you 180 one way ,360 round trip…….this is for example…..find out how many mile it really is and how many mile you get to the gallon and that will give you a good idea.

Baseball plays "games," not matches.
You want to be there at least a half hour before game time.
Give yourself an hour from SoBe, especially if it's a weekday, it will be rush hour. If you get there early, no problem; you can watch practice & there's other stuff to see & do.
It will be better to simply go directly there from whatever part of the Everglades you are at. You can take the Expressway or Turnpike & it will take a little longer than the trip from SoBe. There is no reason to make the long traffic jammed trip back to the the Beach & then back to Miami.
I'm not sure a group of 18/19 year old guys want to go to NYC for the theater and Shakespeare…
Head down to Myrtle Beach or Fort Lauderdale. If you want to check out the west coast, go to San Diego. Plenty of nightlife in all of those cities, and more to do than just hang out at the beach.
July and August because of the heat.
