Help answer the question about vacation travel
The best site for discount vacation travel?I need to book a vacation package to Hawaii. Does anyone know of the best or cheapest websites for discount travel, except for Travelocity, Orbitz, and Expedia. Please let me know from your experience which is best, even if it is among the 3 that I just mentioned. But I'm really looking for one of those sites or companies that people rarely know about (if it exists). Thanks!

That credit card bill can add up fast on a cruise if your not disciplined
Before you actually book go to tripadivsor.com and check out pictures of the hotel and some decent trip reports
We go at least 3 times per year for relaxation and scuba and the above usually generate the best fares/hotel combos
Croatia, come visit me!!!
I actually enjoyed the tour!
its definately a scam!!! me and my partner got oe through the post here in the uk with exactly the same prices they quoted you ( well converted into pounds sterling) we went and booked with a well known travel agent and never looked back as we saved shed loads compared to these scammers. i also had a friend who fell for something like this and lost all of his money from his bank, £180000 to be exact AND he had to phone a premium rate number too costing £15+ !!! he still kicks himself now because of it dont dare be tempted by these thieves
good luck
We went on an RPR trip in 2002, which ended up consisting of three nights in Pompano Beach, FL, a two-day cruise to Nassau, Bahamas, another day in Pompano Beach, FL, and two nights in Orlando, FL.
If you do some internet searching, you'll most likely turn up nothing but bad things about RPR. However, that wasn't quite our experience. In fact, we had a relatively good time, as did most of the other people as far as we could tell, and it was certainly worth the cheap price of the trip. Some notes:
1) Some people weren't big fans of the hectic nature of the trip (i.e. spending a few days in Pompano, followed by a short cruise, followed by only a single night in Pompano and then a drive up to Orlando for a couple days). However, given that we drove down from Maryland, it wasn't a big problem for us to do all this (i.e. we didn't have to worry about flight schedules, etc), and it was actually pretty enjoyable.
2) The cruise ship was much smaller than any cruise ship you'd normally take a cruise on. It being our first cruise, it wasn't a big deal, but others who had been on cruises before had some complaints about that.
3) Expect to go to a mandatory timeshare presentation, or something similar. However, approached the right way, this doesn't have to be too bad of a negative. In fact, ironically enough, the more negative your attitude, the most positive an experience it will probably turn out to be
.

My husband and I traveled this past February with our then 21 month old toddler. I too was very nervous. We wanted to go somewhere warm. I thought that a nice place in the Caribbean on the beach would just not be stimulating enough for my toddler. We're busy people and love to go go go. So we decided on Disney World. My Husband and I had never been there, so we thought there will be plenty to do, yet if we want we don't have to do anything at all. We had planned to just go with the flow. Let our daughter take her naps when she needed, etc. Well that didn't happen because there was so much that WE wanted to see and do. We were probably a little selfish. Anyway, my daughter wanted to swim all day at the pool. I would have never guessed! I think a Caribbean vacation would be perfect for a little one. More relaxed so your toddler and your family are more likely to stay less stressed and more happy. I would stay somewhere with a pool or a beach. Kids love to swim in warm weather. We flew. Again, I was extremely nervous. I brought lots of yummy snacks, light on the sugar, so their not bouncing off the walls of the plane. Also, brought lots of paperback books. You can bring more and they're lighter to carry along then hard cover or boardbooks. Brought her blanket, which she's very attached to. Brought coloring books and a pack of markers. And we brought our laptop computer and a few of her favorite movies. The 4 hour plane ride went surprisingly well! One last suggestion. Under the age of 2 you don't need to buy a seat on a plane. If you choose not too, check in early and see if they have any extra seats that you can be moved to. Good Luck!
i have cruised this ship, but to be hnest I much prefer the amsterdam ship.
I don't think it should be a problem. Just bring with his visa papers and whatever passport he has. Check with the cruise line if you're concerned, and they can help you out more.
I love the Zuiderdam. I’ve cruised her twice.
The Splendour of the Seas had a major refurbishment in 2001 which was a year after we cruised on her, so I cannot really comment on her condition at present, however before the refit, I personally thought that she was in really good condition, clean and immaculate in all areas.
You will probably find Splendour slightly smaller than what you have been used to with RCCL so far but that makes it more interesting and less impersonal.
We too sailed around the Med and really enjoyed the whole trip and all the ports, so much so that we have been back again 3 times.
If you have been on four cruises with RCCL you will not be disappointed with this trip, the standards are the same whatever ship or trip you are on.
There is a link to a good impartial review of the Splendour below.
Have a great cruise.
