if you can afford it, italy, all the way.
EVERYONE goes to places like the bahamas. italy is out of the way and differant than what most people think of for a honeymoon location.
edit: as for date change, everyone i know has gone about a week after their wedding, so they have time to tie up any loose ends at home, and so they are absolutly CERTAIN they have everything they need before they go. cause i cant imagine anything worse than booking your honey moon, then with all the wedding planning malarky going on, you forget to pack your passport or something
when do you plan on going?? ive vacationed to south carolina a few times and i seriously had the best time out of all the vacations ive taken. if you go to charleston they have a TON of things to do esp if the weathers nice like a bunch of huge and i mean HUGE houses that have actually been in a lot of movies and downtown is really awesome and you can take carriage rides and they give you tours. Then if you drive about 20 minutes you can go to folly beach which has a lot of bars and cool surf shops and things and its right on the ocean and they have a really nice pier. theres also a place called isle of palms around there that has lots of big old really odd colored houses plus the ocean and many shops. food wise im not sure what kind of caribbean/african food they have we would just go to the places that were on the ocean because the views it was so relaxing but i would think since it is oceanfront they would have various food.
its A LOT of fun you just have to go at a peak time like spring break or summer months because its warm and lot of people out and the bars are super fun at folly beach when its summertime. we went to myrtle beach last xmas and it was def great but it was their off season and a lot of things were closed and we couldnt reallly walk on the ocean because it was cold so def go during warm weather!
also im 23 so i did want a vacation where we could party and stuff and you def can there and i thought it was great everything was right on the ocean because you could walk right down there from the bar and theres actually a holiday inn right in the center of folly beach and right on the ocean and next to the pier so thatd be a perfect place to stay. i just think florida/mexico is so typical for vacations and spring break i like to mix it up. a friend of mine moved to virgin islands too and thats a great choice as well
It would be best to receive the news AFTER the vacation, in my opinion. Being told of a death, of any kind, during a vacation would emotionally overshadow every experience during that time.
The animal would be dead either way. There being absolutely no solution for that condition, what could the vacationing owner be expected to do? Better to have minor feelings of guilt following a vacation in blissful ignorance than a week of grief, guilt, or anguish (assuming the pet was a beloved member of the family).
On the other hand, if the animal was not dead, but ill, then being informed might be preferable. In that event, the decisions of the owner could potentially have an influence upon the animal's ultimate disposition. at the least, it would allow the owner to emotionally prepare for any potential outcome.
