Looking for an affordable destination close to the Barrier reef in Belize with comfortable accommodation, good food, and not too far away from the mainland, then check out Thatch Caye Resort.
With only eleven rooms, and an average year round cost of slightly over USD200, Thatch Caye Resort will give you not only an affordable vacation, but it is also a cheap vacation destination bearing in mind what you will get for your money. Thatch Caye is an island complex within the protected South Water Marine Reserve in the Coco Plum Range of Islands. It is renowned not only as a top resort for scuba diving in Belize, but also as a great place for fly fishing in Belize.
You will be one of a maximum of 22 guests accommodated in 11 beautifully positioned villas, some of which have lovely ocean views. There are 4 Casitas, which are single storey up on stilts, with a sundeck on the roof, complete with hammocks to catch the cooling breeze and allow you to enjoy the spectacular views. With the breeze you won’t need air conditioning, although there are ceiling fans, and the casitas which are very private could be perfect for a honeymoon in Belize, complete with king size beds, hot shower, and very comfortable indeed.
Then there are the Cabanas situated over the water, each cabana having two accommodation units. They have thatch roofs, tiled floors, spacious baths, and Queen size beds, and again are cooled by the prevailing breeze, and ceiling fans
The heart of the resort is Thatch Central where reception, and the dining room is found, and one of the two bars, the outdoor Wave Bar also has a thatched roof shelter and glorious local hardwoods.
This is a very nice resort and Thatch Caye Resort in fact may be an affordable vacation spot because of the reasonable price, but it is light years away from being what you think a cheap vacation destination would be like. It might be cheap, in other words not expensive, but a long way from being cheap as in nasty.
The comments made by guests over the past weeks and months are indicative of how highly Thatch Caye Resort is rated.
It is not rare to hear this affordable vacation spot described as “Heaven on Earth”, and words like “Wonderful Hospitality”, and “Magnificent Hospitality”, give you more than a clue as to how good the staff are at what they do for you here. Often heard are descriptions like “A Wonderful Place”, “Beautiful Surroundings”, “Paradise found”, which has to tell you something.
It is very rare to hear a bad word said about Thatch Caye Resort, and in fact there is a definite feeling that guests are quite anxious to keep what has been described as “An Undiscovered Gem”, exactly that, and frankly who can blame them.
As a base for Scuba Diving in Belize Thatch Caye Resort is hard to beat, and descriptions like “The healthiest and most pristine reef “, should inspire divers to book this cheap vacation destination for that reason alone.
” I cannot praise the staff of Thatch Caye Resort enough”, makes very reassuring reading, plus “We felt so well taken care of”, sums it all up.
“The fly fishing was incredible”, is a box ticked for those who want to go fly fishing in Belize for their vacation.
As can be easily understood the comment “An Unbelievable honeymoon”, adds weight to the argument that there are few better spots than Thatch Caye Resort for a honeymoon in Belize.
All round, this is a resort that puts the lie to the expression cheap vacation destination, instead use affordable vacation, and what a vacation the Thatch Caye Resort will give you near Dangriga, Stann Creek, in Belize.

Help answer the question about vacations destinations
Is there a website where I can search vacation destinations based on my dates? It seems that all the travel websites work in this fashion: Choose your product (i.e. flight, flight & hotel, hotel only); Choose your dates; Choose your departure city; Choose your DESITNATION….they then show you all the flight and hotel options for that one destination.
Are there any sites out there that let you type in the dates you are looking to take a vacation?…then they offer suggestions and pricing on various destinations throughout the us/world? I have done lots of travel and am not really "picky" about a certain destination, rather would like to explore various options without having to type in a different destination every time I do a search. Thanks in advance for your answers!

yeah no strollers stupid!
you need to shut up! what best friends does is wonderful!!!!!! if you watch the show or learn about it then you can judge it but how could you think people that save animals lives is BAD!?
Boca Chica is the place for budget. There are many low cost hotels or you can get Dominican Bay Hotel all inclusive for a very reasonable price. The beach in Boca Chica is fantastic. The large lagoon is protected by a reef and is very shallow. Flights to SDQ are also very reasonable. Do a search on Boca Chica and see for yourself. I love going there.
Anywhere in Mexico. Basically, 10 US dollars will buy you a small town in Mex
Without spending a fortune going to Disney World I would suggest going to Branson Missouri. The hotels are really reasonable and oodles of things to do with kids.Look up their web site. We love it.
you are an idiot
I’m heading there now and will be volunteering for a couple of days. I can hardly wait!
I think you should travel Vietnam – the hidden charm, a peaceful & safety destination for travellers in the world, asia especially.
In Feb, Vietnam's being in the air of spring, the weather's pleasant. Many traditional festivals 're placed in everywhere from the North to the South to celebrate the Lunar New Year. A tour to discover Vietnam will not make you regret.

I personally have not been to Best Friends, but have been wanting to. Where do you see strollers? All I see are dogs being dogs–digging, rolling in mud, playing with water, barking…?
This isn't my normal recommendation, but for a couple your age, I recommend camping on the Outer Banks.
Pitch a tent on Cape Hatteras and you'll not only have a cheap vacation, but it will be a lifetime memory. It's not as bad as you might think, and laying on the sand looking up at the stars and sleeping to the sound of the waves crashing is crazy romantic and soothing at the same time.
During the day you can visit the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, ride a ferry or two, play some putt-putt or bumper boats. You can also rent a dune buggy and tear up and down the beaches. Visit the horses up in Corolla, and one of the bars in the Nags Head / Kitty Hawk area. Check out the Lost Colony, Elizabethan Gardens and the Wright Brothers memorial.
I know it's not action packed, but if you want quality time with someone you love, it is perfect.
I wonder where you're coming from.
If you're from U.K., you can consider Newmont Travel as my 'mother-in-law' uses:

Or Opodo that one of my few friends there used recently:

If you're from the U.S., I recommend Apple Vacations and here's a link direct to British Virgin vacations with them:

If from Canada, I recommend RedTag and a few others such as FareStore, Target Vacations and FlightNetwork:

There are quite a few popular destinations in Manitoba.
One of the top draws is Churchill MB. The train ride you can take up to Churchill is amazing. Once there, the Tundra Buggy rides to see polar bears in their natural setting is something many people never dream of experiencing. The northern lights are awesome, and the beluga whales in the bay just bring it all back to nature and its beauty.
Each year thousands of people also come to Winnipeg. Being the largest city in Manitoba, there is always something going on. Folklarama is in the summer and celebrates Manitoba's diversity in culture. Festival du Voyager is in the winter and celebrates the early ways of life in Manitoba with the Metis people. Corydon Street Fest…Folk Fest at Bird's Hill Park, so many others.
Back up in northern Manitoba, there are also summer and winter festivals. In The Pas you can search for the ice worm and see dog sledding and fur trapping as part of the Trapper's Festival. Thompson has Nickel Days. Flin Flon is the only place in North American named after a sci fi character, and they have the Trout Festival.
Dauphin has Country Fest and Ukrainian Festival which are huge draws.
Grand Beach draws huge crowds for its beaches. Clearwater Lake just outside of The Pas is one the three true blue lakes in the world. There is also the International Peace Gardens at the border. Spirit Sands at Glenboro bring people out to see the "Manitoba Desert" and all the sand dunes there.
There is so much more. The link I gave can help you too.

Have you ever been to Best Friends?
Best Friends is wonderful! I am a sophomore in high school, and a youth leader for Safe Humane Chicago. Best Friends sponsors us to go to elementary schools in underprivileged neighborhoods across Chicago and talk to kids about kindness to animals, compassion, proper care of animals, and the horrors of dog-fighting an animal cruelty! Ive met 3rd graders with the most horrible tales of animal cruelty which theyve WITNESSED!
Disney world in florida its a great place for kids and adults
(The beginning part of this post is underneath)At the moment, were raising money for a class service trip to the sanctuary over spring break! You can visit the best friends home page to find an article about us (its called Chi-Town Teens)! We would be grateful for any donations to our trip-fund and we are also just overjoyed to be spreading the message of kindness to animals to others!
