You cannot go on an Italy vacation without doing some sightseeing. In fact this is one of the most cited reasons for visiting Italy. The country has a rich culture and a rich history. All over Italy are historic buildings, monuments, museums and all kinds of places to visit that will make your Italy vacation truly eventful. Italy is also a center for high fashion and along with the great food, friendly people, wine and the Catholic Church this may be one of the best sightseeing vacations you have ever been on. It is important to make sure you see the most important sights before you leave. So where do most people go to when they are on an Italian Vacation?
When you go to Italy you must visit Rome. There are several popular places here for sightseers. The Colosseum is a very famous landmark in Rome. It is a huge open air theatre that was built by Emperor Titus in AD80 for games and gladiatorial battles. When many people see the Colosseum the movie “Gladiator” comes to mind. Another magnificent sight is the Pantheon in Rome. It is a huge temple built in AD120 and up until 1960 it had the largest dome in the world. Rome is also the home of the Pope in Vatican City, another popular destination for sightseeing on an Italian Vacation. Other cities in Italy that are popular for sightseers include Milan, Venice, Naples and Sicily.
Pisa is a smaller city, but it is world famous due to the Leaning Tower. It is a bell tower in the Pisa Cathedral that is made up of a group of 4 beautiful white marble buildings. Construction on this started in 1173 and went on for 200 years because of a lot of interruptions. Since the construction took so long, the bell tower started to lean hence the name.
If you are a savvy sightseer or traveler and know some Italian, you may be able to arrange to see all these sights for yourself. But you may want to consider having everything arranged by someone else because you don’t want to miss any of the important places and you will benefit greatly from a guided tour. There are several sightseeing companies that offer tours for visitors. Guided tours will usually follow a pre-set route through a city or town during your Italy vacation. Not only are the guides fluent in English, but they also have a wealth of information on the historical sights and there are opportunities to ask questions. Some tours on your Italian vacation will allow you to get off the tour vehicle to explore and then catch another tour vehicle from the same company later on.
Or if you prefer not to walk, you can just sit back and enjoy the ride without leaving the bus. Sightseeing tours on your Italian vacation range in price. There are luxury tour coaches, full day tours, night tours and also several tours for vacationers on a budget. No matter where your Italy vacation takes you, sightseeing should be an important part of overall experience.

This is one of the best known Tuscany vacation destinations. First an Etruscan village and then a Roman port, Pisa experienced its height of splendor after the year 1000, when it asserted itself in the Tyrrhenian Sea as a maritime republic. A visit to Pisa is not just for the Tower, but continues with the villages of the Pisan hills, the natural oasis of San Rossore, beach establishments, and extraordinary archaeological and artistic beauties of Volterra and Massa Marittima (the latter in …

It's really hard to say. If you prefer continental tour, I'd say it is France. If you like beach and fun, particularly if you're young person, than I'd say Italy. Both countries are very close to be chosen, for me personally. It would be best if you can visit it both…
First off – where are you, you didn't say.
If you are from the UK it may be cheap(er) compared to the UK. If you are from the US, most place in the world would tend to be expensive since the dollar is soo weak. Almost any place in Europe will be about 40% more expensive than the US.
Spend at least a full day and night in Naples if you want to see a true Italian city and not some tourist trap for suburbanites. Longer if you want a real experience and a chance to meet people.
All 4 countries have their good and bad points. But from personal experience(Owner of a Travel Agency and traveller), I probably would choose Italy. The reason for that is because there are so many places to visit there(Rome/Venice/Milan, etc). The scenery is awesome in my opinion, as well. The food is great(no Olive Garden there, just the "Genuine Article"). You'll also discover a culture that is almost like no other during your journey through Italy.
That's not to say that Germany, Portugal, and France aren't worthwhile places to visit; they are(Have been to all 3). But again, in my personal and professional opinion, nothing beats a visit to Italy. So I suppose in that respect you may want Italy to win the World Cup.
Paradise Beach – Mykonos Greece
Party Hardy in Paradise
Mykonos is the most popular island destination in Greece. In the summer it's crowded and a bit expensive. You reach it by plane or ferry from Athens (Pireaus). Mykonos is also the name of the port city, where you'll want to stay if you're a partying beach-goer.
Paradise Beach can be reached from Mykonos town by bus, taxi, water taxi, or rented car or moto. Buses run every half hour until 4:30 in the morning, water taxis every hour.
Tripadvisor readers rate Paradise Beach a solid 5 out of 5, one observant and math-savvy reader pointing out that it's "50% topless and 30% nude. All ages…teen to 70." This isn't your star gazing, relaxing bit of sandy shore, especially after 4pm when the beer and music turn Paradise Beach into the ultimate party beach. There are two bars at the beach, the Sunrise Bar and the Tropicana.Once a month in the summer they hold a full moon party at Paradise beach, so check your moon calendar if you like to party.

When will you be here? There are thousands of local festivals that add to the experience of some of the lesser known destinations. For example, Marostica had a spectacular festival this past weekend. The first three weekends in November, there's a truffle festival in the Tuscan hilltop town of San Miniato – they also have duck races next month.
Some of my favorite places to visit here (I've been to all of them in the 9 years I've lived here): Capri/Sorrento/Amalfi Coast, Cinque Terre, Perugia, Mantova, Ferrara, Soave, Arezzo, Lucca, Trento, Bergamo, Orvieto, Alberobello, and Trieste. You could also head for Rimini and take the bus to San Marino for a day.
