
One popular diet program nowadays is Slim Fast Diet Plan. It is a program that follows a very simple set of steps that starts from the personalization of your meal intake. Slim Fast Diet Plan suggests fruits and vegetables such as an apple, half a banana, half cup of grapes or small cup of fruit salad. One of these healthy foods is to be eaten with snacks such as a Slim Fast Optima bar, 1 mini bag of light popcorn, a Slim Fast Optima Muffin bar or an ounce of pretzels.
As you may notice, Slim Fast basically works by controlling your food intake. It limits your meals to what it calls the sensible meals. While this may work for a few people, this may not be enough for those who need a higher amount of calories. Ha ha, slim fast doesn't slow down your metabolism! I have lost 5-8 pounds a week on this. I ate lots of fruit and drank alot of water. I have kept of the weight for about a year now and it also inspired me to eat more healthy because I loved the way I looked. I did the plan for a month.
I have been on the Slim Fast diet plan and it did work and I have kept the weight off. I guess it taught me to eat better and what kinds of foods fill me up. For breakfast, I had a shake and some yogurt. Then, a couple hours later, an apple or some kind of fruit. For lunch, a shake with a salad. For pm snack, a slim fast snack bar (they are WAY good). Normal dinner and a slim fast snack bar for snack before bed. I never felt like I was going hungry and it is not that expensive. A lot of stores sell the generic brand that is much cheaper and works and tastes just as well. Make sure you drink the shakes ice cold or else they taste like crap.
Check out the sugar content of Slim Fast products. Most of them have too much sugar for me. You also have to be able to tolerate milk. I doubt you'll feel "full" using any such product all of the time. Any diet plan will work IF you take in fewer calories per day than your body needs to function.There is no short cut. You will want to develop a plan for eating that will last a lifetime….. not just a short term "fix." If you don't change your eating patterns you won't be able to maintain any weight loss you achieve.

I have tried the Slim Fast diet and I lost about 50lbs in about 6 months. I would drink the slim fast for breakfast and then about an hour later I would eat a small banana and a half of a peanut butter sandwich or 1 cup of cereal whole grain and 1/2 of skim milk. Then for lunch, I would drink the shake and then about 2 hours later I would eat 1/2 a sandwich and some baby carrots or a small apple. For dinner, I ate off of the low fat subway menu. I would get a foot long sub and most of the time I couldn't finish the whole thing. I also rode my exercise bike about 5 miles every night. It will work. You just have to stick with it. It took me about a week before I didn't feel hungry all the time. Every time you feel hungry, just drink a glass of water and remember you are supposed to have 8 glasses a day. Most people believe that they are hungry when really they are actually needing h2o.
Slim Fast works by replacing the higher calories with a lower calorie drink or bar. The reduction of calories leads to the loss of weight.
You generally replace breakfast with a Slim Fast and add a product to a low calorie lunch. For dinner, you have a sensible meal (around 500 cal).
They do suggest snacks such as some fruits and veggies or another Slim Fast "snack."
Depends on if you like "diet food" in my opinion. I've had one of my friends shakes before and it was a little odd tasting but not bad. I wouldn't want to limit myself to just that for breakfast.
There is a protein bar texture to the meal bar (because that is what it is essentially).
I've never done the diet because I'm more into eating healthy and exercising but I've had some friends who have. They enjoyed it for a couple of days and grew tired of it pretty quickly. They also wanted to lose about 3-5lbs and were willing to put up with it for that. A friend who wanted to lose ~30lbs hated it and stuck with it for maybe three weeks before going to a different diet.

Aaarrgghh, all I noticed through that video was that he waved his right hand at you whenever he spoke…it was driving me crazy- I couldnt concentrate on what he was saying!!
I've tried them and I found that A) They taste metallic, B) I got hungry a few hours after drinking each shake and C) It's hard to keep up that diet because it's boring drinking 2 meals per day.

The bad thing with those shakes is that its one size and when dieting someone who is 6"4" 280 lbs and someone who is 5'4" 180 lbs are going to feel different drinking it. It depends on how big you are. They dont make me feel full at all so I would tend to eat more after that.
