In many cases we feel as though we are putting in a high intensity effort. However, the results do not show that to be the case. In order to achieve real results in your fat loss efforts, perform cardio and strength training exercises at a moderate to high intensity level. To test this, check your heart rate and ensure you are working at 60% to 80% of your maximum heart rate for a moderate intensity and 70% to 85% for a high intensity. Working at this level establishes a beneficial caloric burn in a short duration of time.
Weight lifting concepts are also misunderstood by both men and women. Two exercising tips for women regarding strength training are: 1) you won’t get big and bulky by lifting heavier weights, so by all means go heavier with the weight and 2) adding muscle helps burn fat. Lift heavier weights applying the intensity rule. Rest assured that an increase in your muscle size is limited simply based on genetics and gender. Also, the muscle added through weight training helps to create a faster metabolism which means more caloric burn at rest. Plus, added muscle contributes to an attractive shapely figure.
The frequency at which you workout is important in order to help continually contribute to the caloric deficit which causes fat loss. In order to lose one pound of fat, 3500 calories need to be burned over and above what is ingested. This type of caloric intake and burn occurs over the course of time. It is important to achieve a decent caloric burn on a continual basis (3 to 5 days per week), in order to get real fat loss results in the quickest time frame.
The time factor is dependent on the intensity of the workout. If a high intensity workout is performed, a 20 minute minimum cardio routine should be completed. If a moderate intensity is applied then the cardio workout should be a 30 minute minimum. This will help to ensure a beneficial caloric burn for the workout. What are some good exercising tips to get thinner thighs that you can do at home?I'm a pretty short person (5'1") and I have a skinny body…except the thighs (annoyingly) are a kinda big. If you are gaining weight, you are probably still taking in more calories than you are burning. Eating healthier is great, but you can still put away a lot of calories from healthy food.
I'd try to cut down to about 1000-1200 calories per day. Small meals and a few 100 calorie snacks throughout the day should keep you from feeling too hungry. Go more for eggs and cheese (protein) than carbohydrate-laden foods.
I lost 30 pounds by doing this. It's not a quick fix, either. I need to eat this way permanently if I am going to keep the weight off, and you probably do too. It only gets worse as you age.

I think the most important thing for her to do would be to first change her diet. People who gain most of their fat around their stomach have a greater risk of developing cardiovascular problems, and eating a fatty diet will only make this worse. Especially since she's older, diet is so important! As you age, your metabolism slows down dramatically so more fat will be stored as fat instead of being burned as energy. My mom is overweight too, due to past and present medical conditions, but she's managed to start losing weight by going for walks everyday and eating healthier. She also drinks a lot of water, which is a natural hunger suppressor and flushes out toxins.
Healthy food doesn't have to taste bad! It's just a matter of how you cook it. Baking is better than frying, and you can get low-calorie choices that still taste great.
I wish I could help more, but attitude also plays a huge part and I think your mom needs to realize how she's putting herself at risk first and how it will effect you and others before she will change.

Sounds like you have a wide frame, which is not easy to change. If you think you are attractive, and others do too, enjoy. Be careful not to lose too much.
Find out your % body fat, if much above 20%, just add some fruit to your diet, and have less starches or fatty foods. Reduce your meat portions by a third. The slower you lose weight, the better your skin will respond and not result in loose skin. If your weight has been constant, it will come down 1-2 lbs a week or so.

its totally possible for you to get down to 130-140 lbs you are still young and can get that metabolism moving again, eat smaller meals every 3 hours to boost the metabolism (so 5-6 meals a day) and get out and get exercises! hit the gym or something and try using the Eliptical machine instead of the treadmill, its easier on the knees and ankles and you will be able to go a lot longer, its easier on the breathing aswell…do some weight training to tone your muscles too, the more muscle you have the more fat you can burn!!
also, congrats on the baby…and you are right, stay away from the soda you can lose a lot of weight just but cutting that out its such horrible empty (yet great tasting) calories…
basically just do what you want so you can feel the most squeeze in your chest. if turning induces that squeeze feeling then do it. it’s all about the squeeze

Id just like to start off by saying its best to build the strength in your abs before you that popping ab look. Heres the routine I use to do hope it helps ya.
1) 4 sets( aka the number of times ull do a certain amount of reps in case ya dont know) of 50 situps. keep ur knees at a 45 degrees so keep ur butt not too close to ur heels but far enough.
2) In between sets of situps make sure ur not just sitting there gotta keep the blood flowing and keep the pump strong. So in between sets do 15 crunches….but make sure they are 1 sec up and 3 secs going down. and plz make sure ya feel it in ur abs not ur neck. If ur neck hurts then ya are pulling on it when going up. Not good just so ya know.
3) flutter kicks….hold ur feet out straight like boards then move them up and down. just like ya would if ya were on ur back in the pool kicking ur feet? hope that makes sense. but the whole point here is to not let ur feet touch the ground for 15- 30 secs depending on how much ya can handle. Do 4 sets of this.
By now you should have a burn in ur abs if you are correctly performing them.
4) Now for lower abs do leg raises. how you do these is lay down on the floor with ur hands under ur butt for support. put ur legs straight out like boards again. then pick up both legs at the same time til u look like a L then let them slowly down. Again dont let them touch then ground. do this movement for 4 sets of 15
so now u have worked the upper mid and lower abs so u should have a good pump in the core. If ya dont then do it again. I hope this helps ya if ya have questions feel free to ask

As far as your breast situation since ur only going for midsection toning and not whole body then most likely you wont experience a decrease in breast size. Tho it could be possible it wont be much. And your too young for them to sag unless you weigh like 300 lbs and loose 100 then yeah you could run into that. but your young and ur body will adapt!
