I would start by advertising on craigslist (free), and you maybe want to consider looking up some of the cancer treatment centers in your area, and talking to some of the doctors. Some may let you advertise, or leave flyers (cheap!) in their offices, as many of their patients may not even know where to turn to purchase good wigs.

I don't think hair loss in and of itself if curable, but it is treatable. You can have those procedures done to take hair from somewhere else on your body and onto your head. But you know, being bald can be beautiful too. ^_^

They lose their hair, and they probably do have some kind of toupee or hair transplant. Two examples that I know of (because they openly admit it): David Letterman (Toupee), and Richard Simmons (hair transplant).

Sometimes they just shave their head completely or near-completely bald (Bruce Willis, Paul Sheaffer, Andre Agassi).
