We all love taking vacations to get away, have fun, and relax. But when you have a family it can sometimes be difficult choosing a destination that offers something for both children and adults. As a parent you may be wondering how you can find the perfect vacation spot. Luckily for us there are numerous destinations that offer fun for everyone!
As adults and parents, we know that our children will carry memories of family vacations with them for the rest of their lives. To insure they’ll look back on them with fondness, you’ll need to keep them in mind when selecting your destination. How? By targeting your vacation destination to the age of your children and the type of activities they enjoy.
Keep in mind of course, that there are some vacation activities that are only suitable for children of a certain age or ability. If you have young children and are concerned about the limited number of activities that they may be able to participate in, you could work to develop their abilities. For example, if you are interested in vacationing at the beach or lake, but you have a child that doesn’t know how to swim, you could teach him or her how.
For vacation destinations that are perfect for families, you may want to consider an area that has an amusement park and other similar attractions. You can decide on the size of the amusement park depending on the length of your vacation. For instance, some parks only take a day to enjoy (such as Six Flags), but some are so large that you need 2-3 (Universal Studios, Disney World, etc.). Amusement parks generally offer a wide range of rides and attractions geared towards individuals of all ages. In addition to rides for adults and teenagers, most even include a section with rides specifically for infants and toddlers.
Camping is a popular outdoor activity and makes a great family vacation. Children of all ages generally enjoy camping, especially near a lake or river. You may want to stay in a campground or state park that offers activities such as fishing, boating, and other outdoor sports. Of course if you have a toddler, you may want to examine the decision to vacation in the wilderness since there is a potential danger for them if they wander off unattended.
Keep in mind that these are only two potential options for your family vacation and while they are very popular, they are not the only destinations that offer fun for the whole family. Use your best judgment and talk to your children about what they would like to do. There are a large number of family friendly vacation destinations, and with a little research and planning you’ll be able to select one that the whole family will enjoy and remember.

you need to shut up! what best friends does is wonderful!!!!!! if you watch the show or learn about it then you can judge it but how could you think people that save animals lives is BAD!?
yeah no strollers stupid!
Boca Chica is the place for budget. There are many low cost hotels or you can get Dominican Bay Hotel all inclusive for a very reasonable price. The beach in Boca Chica is fantastic. The large lagoon is protected by a reef and is very shallow. Flights to SDQ are also very reasonable. Do a search on Boca Chica and see for yourself. I love going there.
Anywhere in Mexico. Basically, 10 US dollars will buy you a small town in Mex

I’m heading there now and will be volunteering for a couple of days. I can hardly wait!
(The beginning part of this post is underneath)At the moment, were raising money for a class service trip to the sanctuary over spring break! You can visit the best friends home page to find an article about us (its called Chi-Town Teens)! We would be grateful for any donations to our trip-fund and we are also just overjoyed to be spreading the message of kindness to animals to others!

Disney world in florida its a great place for kids and adults
This isn't my normal recommendation, but for a couple your age, I recommend camping on the Outer Banks.
Pitch a tent on Cape Hatteras and you'll not only have a cheap vacation, but it will be a lifetime memory. It's not as bad as you might think, and laying on the sand looking up at the stars and sleeping to the sound of the waves crashing is crazy romantic and soothing at the same time.
During the day you can visit the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, ride a ferry or two, play some putt-putt or bumper boats. You can also rent a dune buggy and tear up and down the beaches. Visit the horses up in Corolla, and one of the bars in the Nags Head / Kitty Hawk area. Check out the Lost Colony, Elizabethan Gardens and the Wright Brothers memorial.
I know it's not action packed, but if you want quality time with someone you love, it is perfect.
I personally have not been to Best Friends, but have been wanting to. Where do you see strollers? All I see are dogs being dogs–digging, rolling in mud, playing with water, barking…?
Have you ever been to Best Friends?
Without spending a fortune going to Disney World I would suggest going to Branson Missouri. The hotels are really reasonable and oodles of things to do with kids.Look up their web site. We love it.
I wonder where you're coming from.
If you're from U.K., you can consider Newmont Travel as my 'mother-in-law' uses:
http://www.newmont.co.uk/
Or Opodo that one of my few friends there used recently:

If you're from the U.S., I recommend Apple Vacations and here's a link direct to British Virgin vacations with them:

If from Canada, I recommend RedTag and a few others such as FareStore, Target Vacations and FlightNetwork:

Hope this helps.
Best Friends is wonderful! I am a sophomore in high school, and a youth leader for Safe Humane Chicago. Best Friends sponsors us to go to elementary schools in underprivileged neighborhoods across Chicago and talk to kids about kindness to animals, compassion, proper care of animals, and the horrors of dog-fighting an animal cruelty! Ive met 3rd graders with the most horrible tales of animal cruelty which theyve WITNESSED!
There are quite a few popular destinations in Manitoba.
One of the top draws is Churchill MB. The train ride you can take up to Churchill is amazing. Once there, the Tundra Buggy rides to see polar bears in their natural setting is something many people never dream of experiencing. The northern lights are awesome, and the beluga whales in the bay just bring it all back to nature and its beauty.
Each year thousands of people also come to Winnipeg. Being the largest city in Manitoba, there is always something going on. Folklarama is in the summer and celebrates Manitoba's diversity in culture. Festival du Voyager is in the winter and celebrates the early ways of life in Manitoba with the Metis people. Corydon Street Fest…Folk Fest at Bird's Hill Park, so many others.
Back up in northern Manitoba, there are also summer and winter festivals. In The Pas you can search for the ice worm and see dog sledding and fur trapping as part of the Trapper's Festival. Thompson has Nickel Days. Flin Flon is the only place in North American named after a sci fi character, and they have the Trout Festival.
Dauphin has Country Fest and Ukrainian Festival which are huge draws.
Grand Beach draws huge crowds for its beaches. Clearwater Lake just outside of The Pas is one the three true blue lakes in the world. There is also the International Peace Gardens at the border. Spirit Sands at Glenboro bring people out to see the "Manitoba Desert" and all the sand dunes there.
There is so much more. The link I gave can help you too.
