Over the past few years more and more people have become conscious about their weight, as well as their overall well being. If this sounds like you, you need to put an exercise plan into effect that will really help you to reach all of your goals. One of the best ways that you can do this is by using a treadmill exercise plan. You may not think that a treadmill exercise plan can help, but the fact of the matter is that they have a lot to offer. After all, what do you have to lose?
The first thing that you should remember about a treadmill exercise plan is that it should be fun on top of the usefulness that it offers. Many people think that a treadmill exercise plan is all work and no play, but when it comes down to it nothing could be further from the truth. When you are running on a treadmill try to make things as fun as possible. You can do this by reading a magazine while you run, or by simply listening to music and/or watching television.
Of course, you will also want to make sure that you are reaching all of your goals through your treadmill exercise plan. This means that not only should you be shedding pounds if this is your goal, but you should also be getting in better shape as well. It does not do you any good to have fun with your treadmill exercise plan if you are not getting any benefits in return.
When putting together your treadmill exercise plan make sure that you get help if need be. There are many websites that offer details on treadmill exercise plans, as well as personal trainers who you can get in touch with. If you are going to start a treadmill exercise plan you might as well make sure that it is something that will work out to your advantage.
All in all, a treadmill exercise plan can help you to lose weight and to get in shape. If you are interested in keeping your body in good working order, a treadmill exercise plan can help you in more ways than one.

Don’t know what army or branch you’re asking about, but in general they aren’t looking for push-up champions
But yeah, I can’t see how doing more than 100 push-ups in 2 minutes could make you any more fit for army-work.
ugh i need to do this. Thanks gives me some ideas to do to help build strength
yeh 57 but like i sed i dont go all the way down as i am doing them faster, quick and exsplosive.:)
means you are doing it wrong.
Half marathons are fun, long enough to make ya really hungry afterwards, but not long enough to make you really hate yourself during the run.
If you have a treadmill made by ICON fitness(pro-form, Nordic Track, Image, Weslo, Wieder, Reebok, etc) most of them have IFIT compatability. Ifit is an interactive way to train with your treamill, you can read more about it on their website which I listed below. I usually buy my ifit programs on ebay, they are cheaper there. I included a link to an ifit marathon training program on ebay, I didn't see a listing for a half marathon program today, but I know they have them so just email the seller and ask them to list it for you. Just so you know, the paticular ebay store listed is actually run by the company that owns IFIT and Icon treadmills, so they can get you pretty much whatever you want..
I also included a link to a half marathon training schedual. It's advanced but has a link for the intermediate and novice schedules, you can decide for yourself what level you are at.
Just personally, because of your knee, I would reccomend you take a lot of "alternate" days where you do some low impact cardio instead of running. It gives your knee time to recover from the high impact running workouts while still keeping to make improvements in your lungs, heart and overall cardio stamina. Don't feel bad if you run your first half marathon in rough shape and end up walking a bit, they get easier real quick. Before you know it, you'll be looking to do a full marathon. Enjoy it.
Today there is too much information available on losing weight that has become more confusing and sometimes difficult to follow. It's actually very easy to lose weight if you follow my weight loss tips.

I bought (haven't used it yet) Wolfgang Puck 24L Convection Oven BTOBR0025 Refurbished with the built-in rotisserie off ebay. I see it's now $27 with free shipping. I wanted a convection oven and I love love love the rotisserie oven I currently have.
You will lose more body fat eating protein and fat (don't eat protein alone) than not eating AT ALL. To lose weight fast eat all you want but nothing but meat, eggs, healthy oils, mayo, butter and half an avocado a day (you'll need added potassium). Keep the calories high and the fat percentage high, at least 65% of calories. Adding in green vegetables & some cheese will continue weight loss but at a slower pace.
If you starve yourself by lowering calories lower than are needed for the body to function, your body will freak out and will want to store every ounce in case it doesn't get nourished again. You need to give it adequate nourishment so it doesn't slow your metabolism down to adjust for lower calories.
Simple carbohydrates (sugar, flour, bread, cereal, pasta, potatoes, rice) triggers insulin which can store the calories you eat into fat. The more protein you eat the more the fat burning hormone glucagon is released. The more carbohydrate you eat the more the fat storage hormone insulin is released.
Simple carbs are addictive and can be disastrous to our health. The best way to break the addiction is NO carbs for 3 days. Make a huge batch of deviled eggs and eat one every time you want "something" have huge omelets for breakfast, with bacon, a lil onion, peppers, mushrooms & cheese. Pork chops for lunch. Get pork rinds and eat them with tuna salad. Steak for dinner. Make a huge sugar free cheese cake for dessert. Eat so much you won't feel deprived of anything. By the fourth day, your addiction will be gone and you can start making healthy choices.
High insulin levels unbalance other hormones. Controlling your insulin level will balance out other hormones & allow human growth hormone (HGH) to be produced naturally so you will gain lean muscle even without exercise. Any exercise will greatly increase your muscle mass with high HGH levels.
Once you get near your goal, you start adding 5 carbs every 3 days til you gain weight, then you subtract 10 carbs. That would give you your personal carb level (everyone is different and it depends on how active you are.) As long as you remain <9 carbs per hour, you will maintain insulin control, and shouldn't gain weight. Many people gain weight on high carb, then switch to low carb to lose weight & then are shocked when they return to high carb that they gain weight. Many people can return to moderate carb levels but very few can really eat all they want of sugar and maintain weight or health.
Dr.Atkins was a cardiologist, low carb was a health plan easier sold as a "diet" Read any of his books for easily understandable science. Lutz "Life without Bread" & Taubes "Good calorie, bad calorie" are excellent books that dispel all the nutrition myths.
Reducing body fat and increasing muscle mass will have you in awesome shape in no time. Good luck!
and your grammars is very fine
57 seconds….. hmmm
try the little Jack workout http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKCGe2Ezris
going down breathe in, pushing up, breathe out.
KatyCat has the right idea.
Also make sure to get plenty of water and include some resistance exercises (weight lifting, pushups, squats, lunges) and abdominal exercises (invest the extra $10 in a yoga ball). I also suggest starting out slow and doing a run/walk program in the beginning if you are not in very good shape right now. Work from either 20 or 30 minutes up to 50 or 60 minutes. Once you get over 50 minutes it is ok to split the workouts into 2 equals sessions of 25+ minutes, but it is better for your body to do it all at once if you can. Figure out your target heart rate (80% of 220 minus your age) and try to stay in that range at least 20 minutes a day (longer if possible). DO NOT trust the "fat burn" workout on the treadmill, it is too slow and uses an old concept of weight loss that has been disproven. Eat whole grains and lots of fish (especially salmon) – which has omega-3s to help lower your cholesterol while doing this!
Good luck and congrats!
South Beach Diet works great.
Otherwise, you need to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. The 45 minute thing is not true, but don't over 60 minutes at a time.
Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Good luck and stick at it.

DIET:
Upon waking: Water to re-hydrate you after 6-8 hours of sleep. I like to take the supplements that work best on an empty stomach (Chromium, L-Carnitine) at this time.
Breakfast: A shake is a great breakfast because it has the calories you need but in liquid form, so your body doesn’t have to work hard to digest. Follow this up with a multi-vitamin.
Lunch: Your largest meal of the day. You should be hungriest around this time. You’ll also have the rest of the day to burn off the calories you’ve consumed here. Take your B-complex vitamin now because it will help aid in digestion.
Snack: Mainly a tool to keep your metabolism high. (Eating every 3 hours is good for that.) Also helps curb any post-lunch hunger pangs. I like to keep this fatty or protein rich, like nuts or a half-avocado or cottage cheese or…
Dinner: Should be eaten early (around 6pm or 7pm). Make it protein-centric because your body no longer needs the carbs as the day winds down. Some kind of protein (tofu, tempeh, seitan, fish, beans, etc.) with a side of grilled or steamed veggies. You can have a glass of red wine here if you’d like. (For antioxidant purposes, of course.
Late snack: An optional meal that is always a protein shake. Your last food meal should not be past 7pm.
EXERCISE:
Go to http://crossfit.com and do the WOD (Workout of the day) every OTHER day.
