Central Park SummerStage 2008

Central Park SummerStage 2008 has announced a full schedule of events and performances. You'll find live music, dance, spoken word readings, comedy, films, and more. The fun begins on June 13, 2008 and runs through August. More than thirty of the SummerStage events are free, though there will also be several benefit concerts that will charge admission to subsidize the free SummerStage programs.

You can also call the Central Park Summerstage hotline at 212-360-2777 for the latest updates. All programs will take place rain or shine and will only be cancelled in the event of dangerous lightning during a performance.

Tickets are available through Ticketmaster or by calling 212-307-7171. Hot shows sell out fast so order early.

Important info:

Location: SummerStage is located at Rumsey Playfield near the 5th Avenue and 69th Street entrance to Central Park.

Admission: Admission to all free performances is on a first-come, first-served basis, no tickets required. Gates open 90 minutes prior to performances at benefit concerts, and 60 minutes prior to performances for free programs. For Benefit Concerts you can get tickets through Ticketmaster or by calling 212-307-7171. Make sure you order early. Tickets sell out fast!!!
